1. Our Core Privacy Commitment

ContactsAI is built on a single, non-negotiable principle: your contact data is yours. All artificial intelligence processing — including contact extraction, intent classification, and natural language search — runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence Foundation Models.

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share your contacts or any information derived from them.

2. What Data We Process

2a. On-Device Data (Never Leaves Your Device)

  • Contact information you enter: names, phone numbers, email addresses, job titles, company names, hometowns, meeting locations, meeting dates, and notes.
  • Voice recordings used for speech-to-text input (processed by Apple’s on-device Speech Recognition; audio is not stored after transcription).
  • Business card images used for OCR text extraction (processed by Apple’s Vision framework on-device; images are not stored after extraction).
  • App preferences and settings (e.g., dark mode, sync preferences).

2b. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Any contact data, names, phone numbers, emails, or addresses.
  • Voice recordings or transcriptions.
  • Business card images or scanned text.
  • Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses.
  • Location data, usage analytics, or behavioural data.

3. Apple Contacts Sync (Optional)

ContactsAI optionally integrates with your native Apple Contacts via iOS. This feature is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled in Settings → Preferences.

When enabled: contacts you save are written to your local Apple Contacts database on your device. All read/write activity happens locally through iOS APIs — TapsNclicks does not receive, store, or process any of this data.

You can revoke this permission at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts → ContactsAI.

4. Permissions We Request

5. Apple Intelligence & On-Device AI

ContactsAI uses the Apple FoundationModels framework to perform all AI tasks: natural language contact extraction, intent classification (Add, Search, Edit, Group), and semantic search. Apple’s on-device models process your input locally — no data is sent to Apple’s servers for AI inference.

6. Data Storage

ContactsAI stores contacts using Apple’s SwiftData framework in your app’s sandboxed local storage. This data is included in your iCloud Backup if enabled, deleted when you delete the app, and never transmitted to TapsNclicks or any third-party server.

7. Third-Party Services

ContactsAI does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data-broker services. There are no third-party SDKs beyond Apple’s own frameworks.

8. Children’s Privacy

ContactsAI is rated 4+ and contains no inappropriate content. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since we collect no personal data from any user, COPPA compliance is inherent in our design.

9. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Because TapsNclicks never receives your data, we cannot delete data we do not hold. All data resides on your device under your full control. You can delete individual contacts within the app, delete all data by removing the app, or revoke any permission via iOS Settings at any time.

10. App Store Privacy Nutrition Label

What devices does ContactsAI support?
ContactsAI requires iOS 26 or later and Apple Intelligence — that means iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any M1 iPad or newer. The on-device AI model runs on the Neural Engine, so the hardware requirement is non-negotiable for core functionality.
Does my data ever leave my device?
Never. All AI processing uses Apple’s FoundationModels framework which runs locally on your Neural Engine. Voice recognition uses on-device SFSpeechRecognizer. Your contacts are stored via SwiftData and synced only to your own iCloud Contacts — TapsNclicks has no server and no visibility into any of your data.
Does it work offline?
Yes. AI parsing, voice recognition, business card scanning, and contact management all run on-device. iCloud sync will queue until you have a connection, but adding, editing, searching, and grouping contacts all work without any internet access.
Is Apple Contacts sync mandatory?
No — it’s completely optional and disabled by default. You can enable it in Settings → Preferences. When enabled, ContactsAI writes contacts to your local Apple Contacts database through iOS APIs only. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts.
Will it mess up my existing Apple Contacts?
No. ContactsAI only adds new contacts or updates contacts it created. It won’t touch your existing address book entries. The two-way sync uses a merge strategy where Apple Contacts takes precedence for edits made outside the app.
How much does ContactsAI cost?
