TL;DR — ContactsAI processes everything on your iPhone using Apple Intelligence. We don’t have a server. We can’t see your contacts. We don’t want to.
1Our Core Privacy Commitment
ContactsAI is built on a single, non-negotiable principle: your contact data is yours. All artificial intelligence processing — including contact extraction, intent classification, and natural language search — runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence Foundation Models.
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share your contacts or any information derived from them.
2What Data We Process
2a. On-Device Data (Never Leaves Your Device)
The following data is processed and stored locally on your iPhone only:
- Contact information you enter: names, phone numbers, email addresses, job titles, company names, hometowns, meeting locations, meeting dates, and notes.
- Voice recordings used for speech-to-text input (processed by Apple’s on-device Speech Recognition; audio is not stored after transcription).
- Business card images used for OCR text extraction (processed by Apple’s Vision framework on-device; images are not stored after extraction).
- App preferences and settings (e.g., dark mode, sync preferences).
2b. Data We Do NOT Collect
ContactsAI does not collect:
- Any contact data, names, phone numbers, emails, or addresses.
- Voice recordings or transcriptions.
- Business card images or scanned text.
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses.
- Location data.
- Usage analytics or behavioural data.
- Crash logs or diagnostics beyond what Apple automatically collects through the App Store (if you have opted in to share with developers in your iOS settings).
3Apple Contacts Sync (Optional)
ContactsAI optionally integrates with your native Apple Contacts via iOS. This feature is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled in Settings → Preferences.
When enabled:
- Contacts you save in ContactsAI are written to your local Apple Contacts database on your device.
- Your existing Apple Contacts are read locally to display in the All Contacts tab.
- All of this read/write activity happens locally on your device through iOS APIs — TapsNclicks does not receive, store, or process any of this data.
You can revoke this permission at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts → ContactsAI.

5Apple Intelligence & On-Device AI
ContactsAI uses the Apple FoundationModels framework, part of Apple Intelligence, to perform all AI tasks:
- Natural language contact extraction from typed or spoken input.
- Intent classification (Add, Search, Edit, Group).
- Semantic search across your contact library.
Apple’s on-device models process your input locally. No data is sent to Apple’s servers for AI inference. Please refer to Apple’s own privacy documentation for details on how the Foundation Models framework operates.
6Data Storage
ContactsAI stores a local copy of contacts you add through the app using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data:
- Is stored in your app’s sandboxed local storage on your iPhone.
- Is included in your iCloud Backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled for this app (controlled in iOS Settings → Your Name → iCloud → iCloud Backup).
- Is deleted when you delete the app from your device.
- Is never transmitted to TapsNclicks or any third-party server.
7Third-Party Services
ContactsAI does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or data-broker services. There are no third-party SDKs in this app beyond Apple’s own frameworks.
8Children’s Privacy
ContactsAI is rated 4+ and contains no content inappropriate for any age group. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we collect no personal data from any user, COPPA compliance is inherent in our design.
9Your Rights & Data Deletion
Because TapsNclicks never receives your data, we cannot delete data we do not hold. All data resides on your device and is under your full control. You can:
- Delete individual contacts within the app at any time.
- Delete all app data instantly by deleting ContactsAI from your iPhone.
- Revoke any permission at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Disable Apple Contacts sync at any time in Settings → Preferences.
10App Store Privacy Nutrition Label
The following reflects our App Store privacy label disclosures:
Data Not Collected — TapsNclicks does not collect any data from ContactsAI. All processing is on-device.
Data Not Linked to You — No data is linked to your identity.
Data Not Used to Track You — ContactsAI does not use any data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
11Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the new policy at the URL below and update the “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
